"I contacted photoroom directly as I wanted them to customise a standard offering they had, the Warhol multi-image option. Andy Warhol is an artist whom I have always liked, and I wanted to make a print very similar to his “Ethel Scull 36 Times”.
I wanted a number of different pictures given the treatment, but needed to see draft results before I could decide on which images I was going to use – as each photo translated differently. All pictures were taken on my i-phone.
Steve at Photoroom really endeavoured to ensure that each photo came out well, spending a lot of time refining and editing the images to ensure an ideal contrast to give the pictures a more “photo” feel, while retaining the bright primary backgrounds of Warhol’s iconic works. While it demanded more time than the standard Warhol conversion that Photoroom offer, it was certainly worth the extra expense as I feel the finished canvas shows. It really is very imposing.
I will be back to Steve for further items – I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the final product, the service and the cost."
